THE JUDGES
IADA judges are highly respected experts from renowned design institutes and design houses.
They form an independent judging panel to evaluate the works of the entrants and to recognize the most creative works as award winners.

Anne Odling-Smee
Anne is the founder and principle partner O-SB design, a leading London design house known for its creative, intelligent and visually impactful campaigns.
Anne’s accomplishments have been recognized by her peers and she is a highly sought-after lecturer, both in the UK and abroad.
Her impact on contemporary print design can also been seen in her writings for such publications as Eye Magazine and Phaidon as well as being the author of The New Handmade Graphics (RotoVision 2003).
In 2011 Anne founded her second design agency: Design Science (www.design-cience.co.uk), which she now runs alongside O-SB.
Anne has taught communication design in the UK and abroad for over 16 years, including at Central Saint Martins and the Royal College of Art in London.

Julia
Julia is a German/British, London based graphic designer. With over 25 years experience, her work ranges from printed matter to fully interactive websites, dealing with simple logo & identity to full brand experiences.
During her career, Julia has worked for and with studios such as Pentagram, Wolff Olins and Meta, to name a few. Her work covers a range of industries including, mobile telecommunications, urban signage, historical houses, retail and B2B.
Julia also has a passion for editorial graphics, with a wide range of books and magazines under her belt. Other interests of Julia includes Autism & Epilepsy, restoration of medieval farmhouses and sandwiches.
Recently, Julia mainly works on brands creation, implementation, exhibitions and digital graphics.

Mark Jackson
Mark Jackson is one of the UK’s leading curators and lecturers in Fine Art Critical Theory and Curatorial Practice. Mark lectures at Northumbria University where his research interests span fine art, sound art and curating. Outside the Ivory Tower, Mark is also the Curator and cofounder of IMT Gallery, London, and the Lead Curator of Gallery North, Newcastle.

Terence Yeung
Terence’s creative career has evolved over time as industries continuously transform and merge across boundaries. He is an artist, designer, curator, educator, interior architect, brand consultant, and digital branding expert, among other roles. Terence draws on his diverse experience across these disciplines to refine his mastery and showcase his creativity in everything he undertakes.

Kenneth Kawamoto
Ken's background is in digital innovation design, and he has created a number of pioneering web and app solutions for companies such as BBC, Microsoft, Samsung, and Vodafone.
More recently, he has focused on producing commercial editorial design for national news media organisations. He is a former Creative Director at The Daily Telegraph and a former Digital Editorial Creative Director at Reach Plc/Daily Mirror Group. His teams have won numerous awards for captivating campaigns produced for clients across various industry verticals.
Currently, he assists an international client base, including AXA, Expedia, and Salesforce, combining his expertise in UX/UI, editorial, and marketing design.

Adam
Adam has an established reputation in design for the arts sector, with a special interest in editorial projects, books and art catalogues. In 2002 he founded design studio 01.02 and is based in King’s Cross, London.
The studio works with many leading London art galleries, museums and publishing concerns both in the UK and abroad. Alongside this work, they produce identity programmes and promotional material for corporate interests, media companies and charities.
